Joe has lived in the atlanta area all his life except for the mid 70's when he was in the Peace Corps in Malaysia. The group of friends who he met in Kota Bharu may plan a 30 something year reunion in the near future. He graduated from Russell High School which was in East Point, Georgia. The Class of 1968 held their 40 year reunion in August of 2008. He received a B.S. in Mathematics from Georgia Tech in 1972. A few years ago he retired from BellSouth, where he worked in the area of information systems in various capacities, most recently in network and system security.

Janet, the "Indiana farm girl", was born in Indiana, but actually grew up in Puerto Rico. She is completely bilingual with no accent in either Spanish or English. Her mom is from Jamaica, and has relatives in such places as England, Scotland, Costa Rica, and Australia. We hope we can visit all of them in our travels during the next few years. Janet has worked in printing and as a teacher's aid in various schools in Fayette County.

We met on Cinco de Mayo in 1999 and were married in 2000.
