Kuala Besut

Kuala Besut is the place to catch a boat to the Perhentian Islands. The boats are rather small and old, providing a bit more adventurous ride than the speed ferries from Mersing to Pulau Tioman. If you look closely at the first picture, you can see people crossing from boat to boat with all their luggage. Since the boats are moored side to side, this was the only way to load and unload. A bit tricky if you are carrying much.
