In January 2000, we visited our friends John and Jenn while they were living in Sacremento. We flew into San Jose and then took a quick tour of San Francisco and the Muir Woods.

We had a delightful time touring Old Sacramento and a fish hatchery, and doing a little wine tasting. Janet and I did some skiing at Lake Tahoe, although there wasn't a great deal of snow. It was Janet's first time skiing, but after a short lesson, I could barely keep up with her.

Before we returned to San Jose, we took a quick tour of Monterey.
