Scottsdale Tonto Bridge Montezuma Castle Sedona Sunset Crater
Coconino Walnut Canyon Grand Canyon Hwy 64 Vermillion Cliffs
February 2006
After looking around Las Vegas for a couple of days, we traveled by the Hoover Dam, and then headed south on Highway 93. We had been told the drive would be boring, but we found the desert views incredibly beautiful.
We visited Janet's friend Andrea in Scottsdale for a few days, and then headed north on Highway 87 to Tonto Bridge. Following Highway 260, we headed back west toward Interstate 17, and went briefly north to see Montezuma Castle.
We continued northwest on Highway 260 to cottonwood, and then followed Highway 89 through Sedona before spending the night in Flagstaff.
The next day we visited Walnut Canyon, Sunset Crater, and Wupatki National Monument before turning on Highway 64 to go to the Grand Canyon, where we spent the night in a lodge.
We then traveled up Highway 89, past the Vermillion Cliffs to Kanab in Utah.
