Texas

In April of 2007, we made a road trip to Lubbock Texas to attend my daughter Ashleigh's singing recital for her Master's degree. The first night of the trip we stopped at Roosevelt State Park in Mississippi, and then did some siteseeing in Vicksburg, Mississippi.

The second night, we stopped just east of Dallas, Texas. We didn't get much sleep because, apparently the motel was being used to sell drugs and someone was running up and down the stairs next to our room all night long.

In Lubbock, we went to see Prairie Dog Town and the Windmill Museum. We also did some hiking in Palo Duro Canyon.

After we left Lubbock, we spent some time in New Mexico, returning home through Oklahoma and Arkansas.
