October 2009 - This was a short cruise out of Port Canaveral on Royal Caribbean's Monach Of The Seas. We stayed again at Radisson's Resort At The Port, just around the corner from the cruise ships. Our room was fine, but our stay wasn't quite as fun as last time because we arrived on Sunday afternoon, and there was no entertainment out by the pool. We drove a few blocks over to the beach to take a walk, which was very nice in the late afternoon. Dinner was excellent at the Thai restaurant across the street from the Radisson.
The ship was beautiful, the food was good, and the entertainment was very enjoyable. There was an 80's party in the main lobby that was hilarious. One fantastic thing is that the lounge chairs on deck were not put away at night. We sat out on the deck one evening and watched the stars at 2:00AM. Heaven. The ship, however, has indoor/outdoor carpeting on the decks that was a bit nasty. Prefer the wooden decks that most ships have. Our ports of call for this trip were Nasau and Coco Cay.
